It's a.....BABY!

Happy Valentine's Day all you lovers out there! I hope you told all your favorites how much you love them!

Today, 4 years ago, we announced that we were expecting our first baby, a boy- our Henry! What a special announcement that was, and to share it on the day of love was amazing! Today, we share similar news, except we've already shared that we're expecting a baby, so today, we'll share what your second sweetie will be!

We've "known" since our 13 week appointment, as the ultrasound technician gave her best educated guess at what our tiny human would be, using the "angle of the dangle" theory. Yes, it's a real thing, and apparently they teach it in school now. Who knew? Fast forward to our 20 week scan, where she once again confirmed that her educated guess was correct!

This one was a lot different for me since I just knew Henry was a girl! We even had "her" name picked out. BOY was I wrong! But happily. I always thought of myself as a "girl" person, and what would I do with a boy anyways?! But Henry has kept me on my toes, and made me think again about me not being a "boy" mom. In fact, I was so ok with being a boy mom, and convinced that this next baby was surely a boy; that I just knew it...like I did with Henry-ha!! It's a GIRL!! Henry called it even before our 13 week ultrasound tech made her guess. Maybe it was just a coincidence, or perhaps they're already connected and the best of friends! Either way, he loves to talk to Ehwie (Ellie) or Ehwanoh (Eleanor), and give her hugs. He may be high energy by nature, but this kid has a special place in his heart for his little sister...already. I love it, and I can't wait to see him as a big brother. I also can't wait to see Matt as a girl dad! Henry really made him calmer and gave him more patience, so I can't imagine what this little lady will do to him! I'm thinking she'll be a total Daddy's girl!
