Ready, Set, GO!

Ahhh!! I'm so nervous...no wait, excited...no wait, anxious!! Ahh! I'm all of that wrapped into one! There's been some great, great news and I think you know what I'm talking about! Can I get an amen?!

It's been one heckuva year, but I'm glad to start to close this chapter and prepare to write the next!! Lotsa new things will be happening when our man rides into town compliments of an airplane packed fulla sweaty dudes. Not quite the white stead or shiny armor that a traditional fairytale begs (more like camo and afghan dirt), but hey, it's the 2000's, right?! Not everyone's fairytale involves a strapping young lad perched high upon the saddle of a great white horse! ;) I'll take him how I can get 'im, dirt & all!

Well, I believe I've rambled enough! I hope you were informed but mostly entertained! Have a great day and rest of the week! I know I will!! Countdown continues! We're all waiting...anxisouly!

Milemarker 11, a milestone

Hello, fellow Patrons!
Today is the 11th anniversary of Matt being deployed. It feels weird to type that, but it feels even weirder (weirder…more weird?? Weirder, I looked it up! J) to say it! I remember the days and months when he first left; wishing, hoping, begging and praying that they would fly by and return my mister back to me safely! I think I’m more nervous and anxious now than I was when he left! J Is that possible?!
This quote reminds me of what Matt told me before he left and I have focused on this every.single.day.
Getting through this hurdle meant that we could move on with our lives. I love that he focused on the positive of, let’s face it, a crappy situation! But the end will so much be worth it!

I wait anxiously everyday for that phone call from the Army saying that he will be on a plane within 72 hours! That will be a very happy day and it is VERY SOON to happen! When I get the call, I will not be able to post on here or Facebook. We have to be sure that our men are safe and that precaution lies in not publishing the OPSEC information anywhere that terrorists can access it! I will send the closest family members (Donna and Andy) text messages and they can relay the info to you all.
VERY IMPORTANT: when you get the info that Matt is on his way, please DO NOT post it on FACEBOOK, or any other social media outlet. Let’s do our part to ensure their safety!
Over the next two weeks, please keep Matt in your prayers as he begins his long awaited journey home! Let’s pray for speed, but mostly for safety! Can't wait for this moment: :)
And yes, I will be THAT crazy excited!
Thank you all for hanging in there and keepin me company! Couldn't have asked for anyone better in the passenger seat! If I could reach across the states and give you all hugs, I would! Mostly, thank you for being there for Matt! It has meant so much to him and to me! We are truly blessed!
Check back often; once he's home, I'll let ya know on here! {If you don't already hear me screaming with excitement all the way from Clarksville!}
